After all the petitions and successful organizations the 19th Amendment was ratified. The 19th amendment gave women the right to vote. Thanks to the nonstop inspiration from women like Susan B. Anthony and Cady Stanton women became part of society. Before the 19th amendment women were treated as a minority, they didn't own property, go to college, or even hold a job outside the house. Women were just housewives and were there to take care of their husband's and children's needs. Some women did not approve of this ideal and fought back because they wanted the same rights men had. The 19th amendment had a great impact on women because not only did they get the right to vote, but it influenced them to get a real job and the ability to run for office. Now society had to take into consideration women's perspective on issues and new issues that were women's priorities.
